Footage of a reportedly cancelled Assassin's Creed game set in ancient China has emerged online, including stealth kills, the series' leap of faith, and a spinning umbrella weapon.

The short version

  • Called Assassin's Creed Destiny, it was reportedly being made for current platforms at Tencent -owned TiMi Studio Group, which also worked on mobile game Assassin's Creed Jade .
  • According to MP1st , the clips were taken from portfolios belonging to people who worked on it, and most come from a prototype built in February 2025.
  • It's thought Destiny's setting was 206 BCE, nine years after Jade's 215 BCE.

What happened

The main mission has a female assassin heading into a sacred palace under siege from the army of the warlord Xiang Yu, in search of a mysterious artefact, and an early-stage boss encounter involving the warlord also appears. Elsewhere, a male character uses parkour to dispatch enemies, while a temporary test area shows the player using an umbrella-style spinning weapon, with ink-brush ability icons and a health bar on screen.

Why it matters
