Dynasty Warriors producer Tomohiko Sho says he'd rather spend what's left of his career making new games than more remasters of his old ones.

The short version

  • Sho isn't ruling future remasters out entirely, but he's not volunteering for the job either.
  • "I can't say anything at the moment, and I haven't even thought about it, but it's not impossible that we'll remaster titles that aren't available on Steam," he said (thanks, IG ).
  • "However, to be honest, I don't want to do it.

What happened

Sho says he still feels an obligation to the fans who want more remasters, and hints he may hand the job to someone else on the team while he gets on with new games and sequels. Dynasty Warriors 3 Complete Edition Remastered freshens up the original PlayStation 2 game, one of the franchise's earliest entries, in Unreal Engine 5 to mark its 25th anniversary.

Why it matters

It's out now on Nintendo Switch 2, PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S.
