The short version
- In 1499, as the bells announcing the end of medieval Paris ring out, the French capital is under attack by a horde of monsters that have suddenly appeared.
- Trevor Belmont, the hero who killed Dracula and wields the sacred whip "Vampire Killer," and his daughter Rose Belmont, begin exploring the city and hunting down the monsters to uncover the source of this calamity.
- Rose soon finds herself entangled in a dark conspiracy lurking behind it all.
